When is the RSVP deadline?
We’d love it if you could confirm your attendance via the form on the main page no later than April 1st.
Is there a wedding registry?
Since we will be leaving for our honeymoon after the wedding, we will not be able to bring gifts back home to Stockholm, so your presence is more than enough!
Is the wedding outdoors or indoors?
Both! The ceremony, reception and dinner will take place outdoors (as long as it’s not raining sideways), and then we move inside the castle for the party.
What should I wear?
Our wedding dress code is cocktail attire, and for summer weather in The Netherlands, we suggest knee-length or midi length dresses in light fabrics, sport coats & pants or suits suitable for warmer days.
Can I bring my child?
Although we love your little ones, our wedding day will be an adult-only occasion.
Where is the wedding ceremony and reception?
Both will take place at Kasteel Duurstede.
Will there be a shuttle to and/or from the hotel(s)?
Yes. If you decide to stay in Wijk bij Duurstede, the recommended hotels are within walking distance from the venue. If you will be staying in or around Utrecht, a shuttle bus will pick you up at a designated spot before the ceremony and drop you off when the party is over.
How do I get to and from the wedding venue?
For those of you not residing in the Netherlands, we recommend flying to Amsterdam and taking the train to Utrecht. If you’re not staying in Wijk bij Duurstede or taking the shuttle to/from Utrecht, you can take a taxi to the location. If you are driving, there is long-term parking available at the harbor in Wijk bij Duurstede (a 5-minute walk from the venue).
What’s the best way to get around in the Netherlands?
The NL rail system (NS) is very reliable (at least compared to Sweden), and easy to get around with. NS.nl has its own travel planner, but we recommend using 9292.nl for travel planning. As a tourist, getting around by car can get complicated, since driving is often limited (or completely prohibited) in the city centers. Inside the cities, we recommend walking or biking. Beware: all red paths are bike lanes, do not walk on these unless you want to get yelled at in Dutch.
What is the wedding weekend itinerary?
For those of you who are arriving on or before Thursday, July 1st, we would love to invite you to a small celebration in the evening of July 1st in Bilthoven, where Ingmar grew up. On Friday, we recommend exploring Utrecht on foot or by bike (you are in the Netherlands, after all), or taking a day trip to Delft, where Ingmar completed his university studies. Are pictures allowed during the ceremony and/or reception?
We’d love it if you could put your phones away (and on silent mode) during the ceremony, but during the rest of the evening, snap away!
